My Online Health Class + New Posting Schedule!

Hey everyone! Happy Tuesday!

So I thought I would first tell you about my new posting schedule that I just recently planned out.

Monday- Pinday Monday
Tuesday- Health related
Wednesday- Fashion related
Thursday- Random
Friday- Random
Saturday/Sunday- Weekly recap

So in honor of today being a health related post, I thought...what better time to tell you about my online health class I'm taking this summer!?!

I'm taking an online health class this summer to be able to have a study hall this coming up school year and still be able to take a choir class. In this health class we talk about things such as healthy diets, exercising, and body systems and how they work properly. Each day we have a discussion that we have to partake in which is actually my favorite parts because I get to speak my mind a little more freely, just like on here!

I'm actually really enjoying this class for the most part. It can be difficult because the internet connection is not always flawless, but the content of the class is well put together and I enjoy learning about health and it does inspire me to be more healthy.

This class is through my school so it's not open to the public, but it's through Open Class on Google.

Comment down below if you've ever taken an online class and what it was! If you haven't, what class would you take online?

Pinday Monday

Hello everyone!!

I would like to officially welcome you to my new series (that I'm planning on making a staple!) to my blog called "Pinday Monday"! It seems sort of self explanatory, but what it is, is I narrow down my five favorite things I've pinned from Pinterest in the past week. That's a pretty tough choice since I'm such an avid pinner!! Everyone always seems to hate Mondays, myself included, but this series will hopefully add some happiness to those Monday when you just feel "bleh"!

Here we go! Happy Pinday Monday!

•one•

This photo first caught my eye because of the adorable lemon slice float she is on. Turns out, it's actually a link to a swimsuit, but that's okay I still absolutely adore the lemon float.

•two•

This is my favorite pool workout lately, I love getting in the pool to relax, and exercising in the pool still feels like relaxing!

•three•

This beautiful picture was taken by a very talented photographer at Shark Fin Cove Beach in Davenport, California. I'm not too sure where that's at, but I think it's closer to SF. Anyways, this picture really makes me want to go to that beach!

•four•

These Ralph Lauren tennis balls are about the cutest things I've ever seen! I'm a tennis enthusiast and love to play with the cutest tennis balls. These ones with the logo are too cute and I might need to get them!

•five•

First thing first, huge shoutout goes to my mom for sending me this pin. This was my favorite pin, for sure, all week. I freaked out when my mom sent it to me! You can bet money that when I get my own place my bathroom will look like this.

Thank you guys so much for reading this post. Don't forget to follow all my social media! I would love to hear from you guys!

Travel Fever

I've always been one that loves to travel. I don't get to travel as much as I'd like to though, but this summer I have a couple plans. As I'm writing this, I'm in Arizona, which I've written a little but about already. I'm actually leaving tomorrow and I'm contemplating "forgetting" to get on my flight. Kidding! But I really do not want to leave.
I come to Arizona every year for ten days to visit my grandma and go sightseeing, shopping, etc. She lives around the Scottsdale area and if you would like me to do my favorite things around Scottsdale blogpost, I would love to do that!
Later this summer, around the middle/end of July, I'll be heading down to the south east part of the country to the city of Charleston, SC! I'll actually be staying in a townhouse on the beach down there with a lot of my family. If you have any recommendations as to where to visit down there I would love to hear where I should go!

My Current Favorite Apps

A word you could use to describe me could be an App Junkie. I somehow feel the need to download excessive amounts of apps even though I only use

a few. So I'm going to show you some of my favorites.

Yahoo Weather! Is a fantastic app. It's very reliable when it comes to being factual and has beautiful scenery taken from Flickr for each city.
 Next up is Timehop!!!!

You've probably heard of it and that's because it is a fabulously put together app. It tells you what you posted on social media a year before, two, three, and four years before. I happen to be very excited each day to check my Timehop. Here's what inside the app looks like.
Looks like I didn't have anything to say that day!

Next is my forever favorite app Pinterest

Like I said, Pinterest will forever be my favorite app!! If you don't know what Pinterest is it's like a virtual bulletin board and you can "pin" things you like! Go ahead and follow my Pinterest: Savana Schubert

How to Make Your Plane Ride More Enjoyable

This past Wednesday, I was on a plane down to Arizona from my hometown in Illinois. I come down every year for ten days to visit my grandma and go sightseeing. I would say I've experienced many plane rides and have had many different experiences. I just want to share some tips with you to help your plane ride become a little more enjoyable.

1. Find a good book. For my recent plane ride I downloaded the new book by the oldest Duggar girls on my Kindle. I read for most of the time on the plane and found that it was a great way to pass the time.

2. Go to the restroom beforehand. Nothing is worse than needing to use the bathroom when there's a line. Also, some plane rides may have bad turbulence with wouldn't allow you to leave your seat to use the restroom.

3. Food and drink. My family pre-packed some snacks to eat for the plane. I had some chocolate covered raisins and Annie's Cheddar Bunnies (which are my two favorite snacks!).

How to Throw a Successful Surprise Party

Last weekend, a couple of my best friends and I threw party for our other best friend's fifteenth birthday. I'd never even been to a surprise party, let alone throw one before! It wasn't a huge banger with screaming loud music and people we didn't know, but there were maybe twenty to thirty of the birthday girls closest friends, mostly consisting of girls. I wanted to share with you some tips I had on how to throw a surprise party because it was one of the greatest experiences I've had.

1. Give out the invitations discreetly. Nothing is worse than the birthday girl finding out about her own party! My friend, whose house it was at, gave out the invitations on the last day of school when the birthday girl wasn't going to be there due to her finals schedule.

2. Make sure everyone gets there before the birthday girl. The surprise moment is the greatest moment of all, and it would be awful for someone to be coming in at the same time as her! The expression on our birthday girl's face was priceless and extremely rewarding! I've gotta say it was kind of a tear jerker!

3. Food! For food we got a couple of really long sub sandwiches because they didn't have to be warm like a pizza. We also had cupcakes instead of cake for easier access. Bags of chips, candy, and water bottles area good idea also!

4. Entertainment can be tricky! For our entertainment, we had a couple of guests bring games such as twister, apples to apples, etc. Have an outdoor space set up where people can play games on the porch, or go in the yard and play bean bag toss or ladder ball! We had music playing downstairs, not because we wanted to dance, but because we wanted to avoid the awkwardness throughout the room of listening to each other's conversations.

5. Decorations. I wouldn't go too all out with decorations, but just but some cheap streamers or banners and balloons to at least let people know that it's a party! It doesn't matter if you go all out, or just blow up a couple balloons, the birthday girl will be grateful as ever just for the thought that you put together.

My Favorite TV Shows

I'm slightly ashamed, yet seemingly proud to say that I am a dedicated TV junkie. I like all sorts of TV genres from reality, to game show, to fiction. I'm going to tell you about my eight probably favorite shows that have either recently ended or shall be coming back on quite quickly or that are already on. One show that I'm going to write about I watched the whole series on Netflix.

1.This show is one that very recently showcased it's season finale which is Survivor. This show is on CBS and is currently in the making of it's 29th season that is premiering in the fall. If you don't know what Survivor is, they bring out a couple dozen people to an island to try and "survive" off of rice and fish. They go into different tribes and compete in challenges for their spot in the game.

2. Pretty Little Liars has probably been one of the most talked about shows in the past couple of years. I'm a big fan of the show and the suspense it holds on me and forces me to come up with my own theories of who 'A' is. I started the show on Netflix and then caught up in the middle of the fourth season and it has never seemed to fail me. If you think you're not one to like a lot of super popular shows, try it out and you could be pleasantly surprised.

3. Big Brother is one of those shows that I'm kind of embarrassed to say that I watch, but at the same time it's one of my all time favorite shows. My whole family watches it together and it's kind of a nice bonding time. If you don't know what it is, basically they put 20 or so strangers in a house together and have challenges both mental and physical and get nominated for eviction. The 16th season premieres June 25th and I'm extremely excited. Haha whoops!

4. The Lying Game is probably my all time favorite TV series I've ever watched. This is the series I watched all on Netflix in a fairly embarrassing, short amount of time. It's surrounds the life of two twins that trade places in hopes to find their birth mother with feuding troubles with family, friends, and boys along the way. I've never been so emotionally attached to characters before which is the biggest thing that hooked me to this show. There are plot twists, murders, and adventures. This is a show that sadly got cancelled, but has 2 seasons with a total of around 30 episodes.

5. The Bachelorette is another show that's kind of embarrassing to be watching, but I'm unfortunately hooked to it. This season showcases Andi who was on the last season of The Bachelor. Something about the show just really interests me. I think it might be all of the different guys with completely different personalities and interests how they all interact with Andi. Anyway, this show is fun to watch because they also go on many incredible trips to very intriguing countries and cities. I'd definitely give this show a watch.

6. This show, 19 Kids & Counting is completely different than the other shows I've listed, but something about the way the kids live and love everything is very neat to watch. Right now, two of the daughters are in courtships and will be getting engaged. It's really kind of cool to see that aspect of them and how they deal with those situations. If you'd like to watch them, they're on TLC Tuesday nights at 8.

7. Twisted is one of those shows I started on Netflix and kept watching on TV. Unfortunately they haven't announced if they're coming back with more episodes because of low ratings by ABC Family viewers, but I'm crossing my fingers that it comes back because that show is full of twists and turns that always kept me at the edge of my seat. It centers around a teen who he had just gotten out of jail for the murder of his aunt and had been accused of another murder the week he got out. I definitely recommend watching the episodes that are all on Netflix.

8. The last show is something I've been watching on Netflix kind of for fun lately and that's My First Home. For some reason, real estate is just so intriguing and fascinating to me. There's about 20 episodes on Netflix that once aired on TLC. The show is a nice blend between the HGTV shows House Hunters and Property Virgins. They have a variety of episodes that are titled by the city they are taking place in.

Airport Fashion

So summer is definitely coming up here soon and I know a lot of you, like myself, will be traveling and probably by airplane, too. Personally, airplane travel is my favorite kind because it's fast and convenient, at least at my airport, but I like to be comfortable while still looking cute because I see my family when getting off of the plane. So I created a polyvore of an outfit that I recommend.

I'm a big fan of the J.Crew chino shorts because they're colorful and fun, but they're super comfortable. I'd wear them with just any soft, basic tank top, but maybe bring a sweater or jacket for the plane because it tends to get chilly in the aircraft. Sandals or flip flops are a good option because they're easy to take on and off and they're nice and comfortable. I really liked the bag in this polyvore because it was a basic color and easily accessible to fit under the seat, carry around town, or bring to the beach. Pearl earrings are the perfect earring to wear with everything because they can add a touch of class even if you're just wearing sweatpants. The last thing I recommend bringing is a pair of sunglasses. For me, when I go outside from the plane or airport it's extremely warm and sunny so sunglasses are always a must.

Simple & Delicious Chocolate Chip Cookies

I was in a time rut today to make a dessert for a party during class at school tomorrow, but my number one go-to dessert is the recipe for these chocolate chip cookies. They're a little but smaller in size, but they're moist and soft. I've made these for a student council bake sale before and they were a big hit!

Ingredients:
•1 cup butter (room temp.)
•1 cup brown sugar
•1/2 cup sugar
•2 eggs
•1 tsp. baking soda
•1 tsp. salt
•2 tsp. vanilla
•2 cups chocolate chips

Mix everything up together---start with the butter and end off with flour and then the chocolate chips. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes per batch. This recipe should make about 4 dozen.

Pre-game Snacks

One of my favorite pre game snacks are called energy bites. The ingredients are:

•1 cup dry oatmeal
•1/2 cup chocolate chips
•1/2 cup peanut butter
•1/3 cup honey
•1 tsp. vanilla
You could bake them if you prefer to, but they taste delicious just rolled up into balls and popped into the fridge! Some of my other favorite pre game snacks are:
•peanut butter & jelly sandwiches
•yogurt covered raisins
•any kind of fruits
•chex mix/pretzels
These foods are some of my personal favorites to get me completely pumped up to play soccer.
